Happy Hosting, Happy New Year - Rob Ellen

Something a bit different this month, I thought I would feature one of the bands that really impressed us on the recent Medicine Show Radio Moose Mobile Colorado Stravaige.

We saw them play the Cedaredge AppleFest Music Grand Dance and they kick (serious) Ass! The video below was filmed at the Grand Mesa Arts & Events Center, Cedaredge, Colorado where we saw them in October 2018

They also run their own Festival In The Rockies called The Mountain Harvest Festival held in Panora Colorado on the last weekend of September.

Passionate supporters of alternative energy, The Scones have a solar powered studio and rehearsal facility, a base from which they have played at the highest level for nearly a decade all over the West of America.

The Scones (Rick Stockton, Helen Highwater, Harry Knipe, and Tim Veazey), perform a souped up, high energy music called “Rockin’ Rollin’ Americana which implies (and delivers) big beat, glorious harmonies, acoustic guitar gymnastics, and a lively stage show. Covering songs from rock’s heyday along with their award winning originals the band is infectiously danceable. The Scones have shared the stage with Joe Cocker, The Subdudes, Lyle Lovett, John Cowan (of the New Grass Revival), and many more, and they have just recruited renowned keyboardist, singer and songwriter Tim Veazey. Tim has performed for everyone from the late Princess Margaret to Ted Turner and with everyone from Pete Fountain to Dickey Betts of The Allman Brothers. He has toured internationally, playing piano & keyboards and singing backup vocals for such stars as Crystal Gayle, Rita Coolidge, Doug Stone, Earl Thomas Conley, Billy Joe Royal and Sonny Turner (of The Platters). The Scones put on a powerhouse live show that will please just about any audience and put smiles on many faces.

The Scones have toured widely throughout the US pleasing audiences with their high energy stage performance, award winning originals, and their take on rock classics.

The Scones latest album “Metrognomes” is in the top 10 on the indie charts in the UK and getting airplay all over the US, Europe, and Japan.

Medicine Music FSR and the House Con cert hub will be supporting The Scones as they look to capitalise on this momentum here in Europe.
