When Houston's Libby Koch decided to give up a hard fought for career as an attorney to law to pursue her music, she gave herself 3 years to make her mark. Here we are ten years on with her mark indelibly embossed into the Texas Music Scene and her status as an international ambassador to the Texas music tradition firmly established.

She is now touring full time, has one of the best respected live band in Texas, playing sell out show, high paid engagements and many respected TV and radio shows when shes home. So exlawyer Libby has never looked back.

A Grammy ballot later, she has completed countless Festival appearances, tours to every corner of the US (North to Alaska next) and three European tours. She and her guitar driven, power soul have carved a special place in the hearts of all who are lucky enough to have witness a live show. Its all been done by constantly playing and delivering delivering delivering live every time with her extra ordinary guitar and vocal skills.  No surprise Libby is also in demand as a session performer and co-writer as equally around the Austin, as she is at home in Houston.

For me that Libby is in a reflective frame of mind turning into this new year is also no surprise.

The news is she wants to release a very special live album to celebrate that fateful decision and those 10 years of hard living, hard loving, hard working, yes and hard partying too (true story). A celebration which is bound to entail all those crucial element in two extra ordinary evening of music in the company of the finest musicians Texas can offer. 

This project as with her rise to prominence is all about including her fans, friends and family in the adventure, allowing them to support her vision and dream and musical gift and as a thank you to them too.

Libby has taken the bold and Inventive step of funding the production of this live album through ticket sales and a pre-order campaign, 

I'll let Libby pick up the story from here, but suffice to say we are so excited for her and so excited to hear just what magic will be magnified into existence through her clear visionary musical prism.  
"I have been thinking a lot about that first record, Redemption, lately, because it was released on February 22, 2009...10 years ago...and on my 30th birthday too! 

Figured we should do something really cool to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this great musical adventure (and my 40th birthday), so WE ARE MAKING A LIVE ALBUM!! Wanna be there? Only 30 tickets are available! Get yours now at (LINK). You can preorder the album there too.  

The album will be a full band version of Redemption, in track order. The original album was just me and my guitar, so this is gonna be cool. The 6-piece band has been put together by my friend Patterson Barrett, an unbelievably talented artist who has played with the likes of Emmylou Harris, Buddy Miller, and Jerry Jeff Walker, to name a few. It’s all happening Tuesday, February 5th at Blue Rock Artist Ranch & Studio in Wimberley, Texas

We are also going to do a performance of Redemption on the actual anniversary of its release at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck in Houston on Friday, February 22nd. Many of you may remember the big CD release party and 30th birthday party we had at dear departed Blanco’s honky tonk. The Medicine Show is the home of the House Concert here is our rolling news


This site is the sister site to The House Concert Hub community and has been inherited in the main by kind donation of Shaun Belcher and Trailer Star.

It is the sum total of over ten years of tending a tender love of music by Shaun, a life time with Trailer Star and five or so years of an association with Rob Ellen from Medicine Music.

The House Concert Hub community will use it for the purpose of providing a online, all singing all dancing, review and preview area for the music of the community, and the music community at large. Have a look around tell your friends use the share button, tell the world.
