Live & Circumstance – a Carrie Rodriguez radio special, hosted by Alejandro Escovedo will be released to radio this Autum.
The Love & Circumstance Tour is in The Netherlands, the UK, and Germany w/very special guests Romantica along for the ride Sept 18 – Oct 11. Starting with the Take Root Festival, then a Club tour of the UK, then Theaters in Holland and a radio show in Germany.
We Still Love Our Country – a duet EP by Carrie Rodriguez & Ben Kyle (of Romantica) will be available exclusively at these shows during this time period. It will also be available exclusively via Carrie & Romantica’s websites. It was meant to be a quick loose limited edition five song thing – but Carrie & Ben made magic, so we’ll probably expand it to a full album when time permits.
Carrie will be featured on two tracks on the forthcoming Los Lonely Boys – Keep On Giving: Acoustic Brotherhood Live, “Heaven” and “Beast of Burden” - both tracks also feature Alejandro Escovedo. The album will be released in the US Sept 28th. This version of “Beast of Burden” will be featured as the b-side to a 7” single we’re creating exclusively for Record Store Day 2011.
While visiting the WFUV studios in NYC earlier this year – a very cool live video was shot of her performing the Lucinda Williams song, “Steal Your Love” by our friends at Ellkat Productions. There’s also a piece of the interview that tells us about the album title. A nice look at what an in-studio radio performance is like. Check it out here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2csSlB6iZ0E
