Highland Tour with Rob Ellen

I recently had the privilege of spending a couple days in the Highlands with Rob Ellen. To say it was fun would be understated. Rob showed me some extremely interesting things, and of course I saw the home of the mysterious Lock Ness Monster himself.

I had a couple performances and the people in the area were very supportive and truly gracious people.

I can say only the same thing for Rob and his lovely partner Ann.

Rob videoed… Continue

Arty Hill and The Long Gone Daddies - Montgomery On My Mind (The Hank EP)- Cow Island Records (media)

Arty Hill and The Long Gone Daddies - Coming to a Honky-tonk near you!

Arty and the boys work out of the Baltimore Maryland Honky-tonks and are as good a reason as I can imagine for adding a night out In Baltimore to the things to do before I die list. Thankfully the rest of the world seem to be catching on to his smooth, actuate and soulful take on the Honky-Tonk idiom. The Long Gone Daddys are beginning to set the woods on fire out with their own back yard, and maybe… Continue

Kevin Deal - "7 Seven"

A new Kevin Deal album is always a red letter day at The Medicine Maisonette, so I thought Ide spread the good news at Flyinshoes.

Kevin may even now be a new name to many confirmed Country Music fans, he may never achieve the record sales of a say a Tim McGraw or Toby Kieth, a fact that I'm sure at his stage in a career in the main financed by himself and maintained in true independent fashoin, he may have lost all part of the dream now but has come back with a… Continue
