Monday Medicine Show Video-cast from The Highlands with love.

I love www.stageit.com  and the fact we video-cast the Monday coffee shop sessions now, its great when we have a touring artist from the states who's fans join us half the world away, its cool we have local viewers who may just not have Monday evenings free but join us as they work away at home, and particularly cool when artists and fans who have played the coffee shop join…

Old Sledge: Don't let Your Deal Go Down

www.oldsledgemusic.com

Old-time mountain music from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, and I don't think I can top this quotation from the Old Time Herald in North Carolina: " [they] sound deeply traditional in the best and most effortless sense: they've listened a lot to the people who came before them, and they pay…

The Carrivick Sisters: From The Fields

http://thecarrivicksisters.wordpress.com/

Earlier in the year I was enthusing about Larkin Poe, the jaw-droppingly talented Lovell Sisters from Knoxville. Well, what do you know? Six months later along comes an album from the jaw-droppingly talented Carrivick Sisters (twins, I believe - is that a trump card against the Lovells?), and this…

Jimmie Vaughan: More Blues, Ballads and Favorites

www.jimmievaughan.com

Bit of a treat, this, for anyone who remembers what rhythm and blues used to sound like. Ex- Fabulous Thunderbird Jimmie Vaughan comes up with well over an hour of great old songs that feels like stumbling on the contents of a jukebox in some ancient blues club in the deep south. Keeping it simple, a…
