Described by legendary BBC DJ Bob Harris as "one of our finest singer/songwriters" Lisa is a versatile female artist from the UK who divides her time between the US and UK. Influenced by artists such as Ryan Adams, Neal Casal, Josh Rouse, Mindy Smith, Shawn Colvin, Rosie Thomas, Alison Krauss and Hem, her music has been described as delicate acoustic rootsy Americana with heartfelt lyrics, gorgeous melodies and stunning vocals.

She has released acclaimed albums 'Slipstream', 'Lost Again' and 'Clouds with Silver' that have received glowing press and airplay across the world including Bob Harris's BBC Radio 2 shows. Her track 'Dragonfly' was played on his 'Best of British' special which featured the Best British songwriters and has also been featured in an independent film. Her version of Neal Casal's 'Fell on Hard Times' has also earned frequent plays on Bob's show. She has toured the UK and Europe and has a distribution deal for her albums with the UK's biggest independent distributors, Proper.

Among the many artists she has played shows with include Chuck Prophet, Glenn Tilbrook, Sam Baker, Carrie Elkin, Devon Sproule, Gina Villalobos, Jess Klein, Laura Veirs, Jesse Sykes, Eve Selis, The Handsome Family, Eileen Rose, The Arlenes, Boo Hewerdine, Peter Mulvey, Jeff Black, Mike Silver and Hot Club of Cowtown.

Lisa's EP ‘Reminders’ was recorded with multi-instrumentalist and producer Jeff Hill. It received great reviews and BBC radio airplay. Lisa is also a keen writer about music and has a regular column for UK magazine Songwriting Magazine where she talks about song writing gives advice to other independent artists.

Maverick Feature and Review, Fatea Showcase Sessions, March Concert and Lisa Redford Live ~ Signed CD Copies Available!

Hey everyone! hope 2011 is treating you well so far. I had lots of radio airplay over the holiday period for New Year’s Day(which was also featured on the Alternate Root US magazine holiday sampler). The new remix of Call Me was played on BBC Introducing and there has been airplay in the US for NY Song a track which seems to touch so many people.

The Medicine Show is the home of the House Concert here is our rolling news

 

This site is the sister site to The House Concert Hub community and has been inherited in the main by kind donation of Shaun Belcher and Trailer Star.

It is the sum total of over ten years of tending a tender love of music by Shaun, a life time with Trailer Star and five or so years of an association with Rob Ellen from Medicine Music.

The House Concert Hub community will use it for the purpose of providing a online, all singing all dancing, review and preview area for the music of the community, and the music community at large. Have a look around tell your friends use the share button, tell the world.

We need reviewers, the idea is we have a correspondents in every area of the musical global village, it will be edited and co-ordinated by Rob Ellen of Medicine Music publicist promoter and presenter, if you wish to subscribe as a correspondent, join up here and drop Rob a line, he will send you cd's and send you to shows, display and publicise your content.
